Trade Flex: A Heritage of Excellence in Customs and Logistics

1928

For more than a century, Trade Flex has exemplified integrity, innovation, and steadfast commitment within the logistics and supply chain sector. Our journey began with Antonio H. Guerra, a chemist who, in 1928, played a pivotal role in crafting the Mexican Tariff Schedules for the government of Mexico. By 1937, Antonio had risen to the position of Chief of Mexican Customs in Laredo, Texas, laying the foundation for a lasting legacy in customs and trade.

1947

In 1947, the Guerra family acquired a Mexican National Broker License, strategically managing key rail crossings between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso. This presence in the industry was strengthened in 1968 when Antonio Guerra Alarcon and Teresa Guerra secured their own Mexican National Broker License, specializing in the Maquiladora regime, which reshaped the landscape of cross-border manufacturing.

1998

The late 1990s marked another milestone as Porfirio Waters broadened the family’s scope by obtaining a U.S. Customs Broker National License in 1998. This advancement enhanced the efficiency of border crossings, facilitating smoother movement of goods. By 2000, the business had matured into a comprehensive logistics model, integrating transportation, warehousing, and customs with a unique cross-border company culture that fostered unity.

Today, in 2023, Porfirio has reestablished Trade Flex as a frontrunner in logistics, with TradeFlex Supply Chain Solutions and BorderFlex IMMEX Manufacturing Services, continuing the family’s lasting impact on the world of trade.
